EAT Chef Young’s Best Breakfast Las Vegas 2016

Truffled Egg Sandwich had straw mushrooms with the scrambled eggs, chives, Greek feta cheese, and sweet, smoked bacon – Extra thick slices – With chive potatoes home fried with the potato skin still attached on ciabatta bread rolls. The straw mushrooms were a delicious surprise that my taste buds didn’t expect. From now on, if I try to cook with eggs at home the way I ate at EAT, I will use Asian sauteed straw mushrooms the way the chef did, because the taste was a brilliant dim sum likeness in flavor. The service was great, not only friendly, but helpful, because my son wanted a pancake, and the server helped him go through the menu to find the right pancake. Than to add to my boy’s surprise, our server brought him his own individually sealed maple syrup jar, which thrilled him. Not just a bottle of maple set on the table like hot sauce or ketchup, each child gets a little individual glass jar of sealed maple syrup with their pancakes. Huevos Motulenos was eggs in a combined peppered green sauce Mexican chili. Motulenos breakfast dishes originated in the town of Motul in the Yucatán. Again more surprises, the spicy eggs had sauted bananas on corn tortilla. Perfect combination! Sweet fruit, bananas, but not too sweet, reminded me of dishes in Harlem, New York City with the addition of the bananas combined with peppers, eggs yolks, whites, and fresh stewed beans. There was a line of people outside when we arrived and leave the lobby. The place was packed. We heard stories of food networks and cooking channels coming to Las Vegas to visit the EAT restaurant Anthony Bourdain eats breakfast at when he visits Las Vegas. I guess he hosted a CNN TV special where he promoted EAT as the place to go in the Entertainment Capital of the World. People used to go to Hash House a Go Go, but now all the talk about the globe is the restaurant EAT if you visit Las Vegas. Afterwards, my family and I went to the most famous donut stand in town, which is directly across the street, Donut Bar. Their donuts are collecting awards all over the nation. All the kids had fun at the Downtown Container Park which is also directly across the street from EAT. Visit Kappa Toys with this kids. Extraordinary collection of specialty toys. This restaurant EAT is brightening up the whole neighborhood landscape with all the attention the chef is bringing to the corner with his fine cuisine.
